Review of lens : My natural eye color is a very dark brown, and I have been looking for a lens to make them look natural lavender-blue. I prefer lenses that look natural, as opposed to the dramatic dolly eye look.

I have only been wearing contact lenses for a few months. The first site I ordered from was an american contact lens store. I found one pair that I liked, but the other ones I ordered didn’t even show up on my eyes. They didn’t have enough selection of lenses that would be vibrant enough to show color over dark eyes. They were also more expensive. So I thought I would try circle lenses, because I heard that the colors were more vibrant, and many are designed specifically for dark irises.

I actually came across Solution-Lens just by browsing through Google. They were usually one of the first few sites to pop up anytime I searched for a specific lens. I found the site very easy to browse. You can search by color, brand, or you can select a series of lenses from a particular brand (i.e. Geo Super Nudy series). Their price is also very fair. Most pairs of lenses are $20 (including shipping), and if you buy 2 you get the third free. If you buy 5, you get 2 pairs free along with free express shipping.

After I placed my order, it only took about 10 days (real days, not business days) for my package to arrive.

As for the package, it was wrapped ever so carfully (and cutely) with lots of bubble wrap, cute little baskets to keep the vials safe, and stickers! Oh, such cute stickers (it’s the little things, yaknow?).

I got these lenses more for color than anything else. The color of the lens itself is the loveliest shade of lavender, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I feel like so many violet lenses are too bright purple, and too dark. I really like pastel tones.

Unfortunately, when I put them on my dark brown eyes, the color faded into a grayish-brown that is only slightly lighter than my normal color.

From a distance, the speckled pattern gives the illusion of shimmering, clear eyes. Up-close however, the speckles do kind of look like cataracts.

These are one of the most comfortable lenses I have tried. I don’t feel any rough edges when I put them in, and they don’t feel drying, even when I wear them for more than six hours.

The unexpected surprise was the enlargement factor- for a lens of only 14.2mm, it really does a nice job of enlarging my irises. I love that it does this without an unnatural looking thick black limbal ring.

I recommend for someone who wants to add a slight shimmer to their eye color and enlarge their irises, but I do NOT recommend this lens to someone who wants violet colored eyes.

in the above pictures, the first two pictures depict the lenses in ideal light sources: morning sunlight and camera flash, respectively. The fourth picture, a comparison between lensed and un-lensed eye, is the truest representation of how the lens looks under most light sources. Just so there is no confusion.
