Blue Contact Lens Review Vassen Cherry Blue

These lenses were actually ordered as a Christmas present, but I’ve only just gotten around to reviewing them! They came in exactly a week, which is ridiculously fast (especially considering the last pair I ordered from them took two weeks!) I ordered three pairs of lenses – Vassen Cherry Red, Vassen Cherry Blue and Vassen Tofi Green! Solution-Lens has a great offer which means if you order 2 pairs they’ll send you a third pair free!
I’m only going to review the 2 Cherry colours in this review because I haven’t actually opened the vials of the green ones yet eep! This is the parcel I received!
It even has cute little stickers on it! I got really excited about the stickers. And inside the package was literally so much bubble wrap! It is possibly the most securely wrapped parcel I have ever received, including like delicate electronic parts. I got three lens cases and a free solution-lens pen with my order, too!

Like I said, I’m only going to review the Vassen Cherry lenses today! I’ll start with the blue ones: the first photo is with one lens in, and the second is with both in! Both photos were taken in artifical light because alas it was too deep in winter for natural light to provide any kind of illumination.
I really love these lenses. I love them so much. They’re my first pair of 15.00mm lenses, and they are perfect. The colour is really really vibrant (the first time I wore them out everyone told me how bright my eyes looked!) and I think they mesh pretty well with my light blue eye colour already. They were also so easy to get in and out (I was worried about them being too big and unwieldy!) and so, so comfy. I put them in – which, alas, I did feel – and pretty much forgot I was wearing them at all! They make my eyes look so much bigger too, wow. I really wasn’t expecting it!

And onto the red pair!
This one was a little trickier, as the lenses didn’t seem to want to photograph properly! The first photo is one lens compared to m eye in natural light, the second is both lenses in natural light, and the third is artificial light (plus the cosplay it was meant for surrounding it!)
These lenses have the same design as the blue (I bought the same so I could wear one of each for another cosplay I was planning) and the comfort levels are pretty much exactly the same on both! It’s worth noting these were my first pair of Vassen lenses, as I’ve only ever worn GEOs, which I think are a lot stiffer! I kind of prefer the more flexible Vassen, to be perfectly honest.
The main problem with these lenses is I think probably the colour payoff – with the blue lenses, as my eyes are naturally blue, you don’t notice how little of the contact surface is actually colour. With my pale eyes under these, when my pupils are very small and not dilated (as in the picture), the contact looks very fake! However, this problem fades when the pupil dilates. I also feel that the enlargement on these lenses doesn’t feel as strong because of this, although this again fixes itself when my pupils dilate. That being said, I do really like the red colour of the contact itself!

Basically, a lot. I really love solution-lens as a store a lot!
